The Pretty Perennials stamp set along with the coordinating dies have quickly become one of my favorites! Today I’ve got some lovely flower cards to show you! Sadly the stamp set and dies are retiring very soon, so if you think you want them, hurry and order before June 30th!
I was having so much fun, I die cut a bunch of pieces, then stamped them in different colors. Now I have them handy and ready for future cards.
The colors I chose for this first card are some of my favorite from the Brights collection.
I did use some Star Dust Stickles to add sparkle to this fun card. I wanted a more “glittery” look, so I chose to use the Stickles over Wink of Stella. So if you want a more “shimmery” look, that would be beautiful too, use Wink of Stella. Stickles are available at most online craft stores, as well as your local craft stores. Next, I decided to use a little bit darker tones. The blue I used is a retired color (Blueberry Bushel). It is my all-time favorite blue (right next to Night of Navy), which brings me to this: Can you see the mistake? I accidentally stamped the word “Happy” in Night of Navy. But it works, right? My point is that you should never freak out over a mistake. Look at card. Sometimes mistakes are a good thing!
Thanks for following along while I used the Pretty Perennials stamp set from Stampin’ Up! Be on the lookout for my upcoming video where I show you how to get your images perfectly aligned with their dies!
I did one additional card, and I used the Color Coach by Stampin’ Up!, which is a free download! Simply click below to grab yours! The Color Coach offers you wonderful color combinations & ideas.
I love Rich Razzleberry, so I started there. I went to ‘Rich Razzleberry’ and looked at the color suggestions, then chose Bumblebee, Coastal Cabana, Calypso Coral & Old Olive. I also used Thick Very Vanilla.
I used the flower & leaf dies from the coordinating Perennial Petals Die set. Love the stitched background? That is the new Stitched Greenery background die! The “Thanks” die is just one from my stash. I think I won it at Crop or something a billion years ago. Lol! Anyway, I thought it worked great for this card! Check and see what you may have in your stash!
I always want to encourage you to use what you have! Even though Stampin’ Up! doesn’t carry glitter glues any longer, you probably have something like that in your stash! Use the colors that YOU love! Always follow the direction of YOUR creative path:)
Below is a list of all the supplies I used for these cards.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Go have fun & share your creativity!
